Uuuuugh why is he amazing oauhsdfousfohu
Damn Air… these look awesome *_* I love your clothing designs so much. I think I’ve commented on Tegan’s jacket before but if not… that thing is complex to draw but just looks awesome on him.
And~ I will totally take the blame for the scarfs. Scarfs are awesome and I have a hard time avoiding giving all my characters scarfs cause they’re so much fun. Sam’s scarf looks so pretty and I’d be so tempted to just have him and Amber trade scarfs just to see what they’d look like on each other.
To be fair… I’ve always liked Sam’s designs, even back in PMD-E. XD;
SODfuhasofushdf omg thanks so much ;////w////; —-
YES THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE THEY NEED TO EXCHANGE SCARVES.
WIP designs for Teagan and Samehk’s final outfits for… PMD-U something or other assuming… I can make them happen lol
Teagan I have gotten too used to drawing you without your pauldrons that needs to change
Teagan IDK what happened to you I kinda’ suddenly gave you Arabian pants or… something… gypsy… I know my clothing styles well you can tell ._. Not sure about his sash/belt yet, I mean the colors, the blue one kinda’ fits more but the red/yellow one also looks nice.
Samehk’s scarf colors/design is based off of Doublade, as is his pouch actually. He carries around meds because he’s sick. Green and pink is actually one of my favorite color combos, which is also something that may have led me to liking Ralts’ line colors so much (also shiny Ralts line caused me to gain a liking for orange, which was never a color I liked before).
While I like the vest for Sam he’s not actually the type to cover up his scars, as they can be somewhat intimidating, also given that he’s a 5’ 3” Kirlia. He’s not ashamed of them at all so… he wouldn’t really wear something to cover them up.
Last one for Sam is actually a throw-back to his scarf from PMD-E… but I ended up stealing Ayingott’s scarf instead.
Also I swear and Zyoko I blame you but everyone on my teams is PROBABLY GOING TO END UP WITH AN EFFING SCARF NOW THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT (can you see that I totally didn’t steal from Amber’s scarf design those flecks man def not from her >_> )
Just realized I didn’t post the last segment of Margerie’s story thus far… anyone, last assignment for my Sketchbook class, Margerie goes with her crush to visit his Grandma and gives her some Lychee. I might continue doing more with her in the future…? Dunno, we’ll see.
Oh, the theme this time was Good people, Good deeds.
I definitely have a fixed mindset :’D
Just in case, posts regarding this will be tagged as: #Critiqueopinion
if you want to black list that you can. I’ll do my best to tag what I can.
I’d like to add, coming from like four years of critique omfg that if people want someone to be more accepting of their critique, it is a good idea to point out what the artist is doing right. For example, telling them the color palette of the background is great and compliments the character well, then follow that with “however I think you could work on your poses, the character seems a bit stiff. Watch some short live action clips on Youtube, or seek out more pose references, or go outside and watch people play soccer! That will improve your ability to think of poses off the top of your head!” Something like that.
Following a “positive” with a “negative” may cause the artist to be more willing to take your suggestion. Another way you can say something is by saying how you, personally, would do it, such as “I would move her legs to be wrapped around his hips”, that way that artist knows how you would do it but doesn’t really have to do it themselves. Since that’s how someone else works. SHARING KNOWLEDGE!!
This sort of technique isn’t really kissing up to someone since you’re stating both a positive and a negative, and keeping the entire critique itself pretty neutral. And yeah always try to be polite, speaking in a way that makes you sound like a know it all can be very off-putting and make someone not want to listen to you and/or take your advice XD
Personally I don’t like receiving critiques ESPECIALLY if I don’t ask for them. Cuz if I don’t ask for them then I’m SUPER DUPER closed to them D: (this is just something I’ve noticed about myself, school doesn’t count because we have specific days for critiquing and I was always prepared for critiques because of that).
Usually if I want advice I’ll ask for advice from people I know :’D And on rare occasion when I post a WIP sketch I may ask for other people’s opinion!! And when I ask, I’m really open!! But unless I ask, don’t critique me please I will be a grump for the rest of the day (this has happened trust me :’D I know myself really well okay? okay).
Also I’m extremely uncomfortable giving critiques to people I don’t know, as I don’t want to accidentally discourage someone, so please don’t ask me for critiques I will run away from you and hide under a rock ._. Because that is how the Air do.
MAN I’ve always wanted to make a Superhero/Supervillain character or something.
I was looking at images of Silver Banshee and WOW first of all love her design and then I was reminded of a char I imagined that had some pretty legit interesting abilities BUT man IDK, it would be pretty entertaining for me to create a Superhero or Supervillain (or both, since I ALWAYS MAKE DEM DUOS).
I DUNNO SHOULD I JUST DRAW SOME SUPERHERO/VILLIAN STUFF BUT I’VE ALWAYS THOUGHT I WAS PRETTY BAD AT IT THOUGH.
WOULD YOU GUYS BE ENTERTAAAAINED?
I should be writing an essay but I got distracted when I started listening to this track and well I guess this sketch turned out mostly how I see it in my head ha ha! I don’t even know what is perspective or guitars or how to couch but I did my best so here have a rough sketch and omg this appears to have woken me up so I think I might be able to get to work on that essay now…
